I thought he said earlier he didn’t know what a valano wolf was? Now his mom is one and he knows all about them? Kinda a miss in the story

story is starting to drag for me. I liked the start of it. also the readers voice for the main character distracts from the story. it's too whiny and too immature sounding for an 18 year old. example it's wolf is not pronounced woof unless it's a toddler. just got harder and harder to like the
